Azure Devops and Automation Anywhere.
This article is based on the learning which I did for automating bot deployments. One of our customers were using Automation Anywhere and they approached us seeking input if some of the Devops practices can be implemented in Automation Anywhere bots.
Below is one of the use case where we leverage capabilities of Azure Devops and hooked it up with Automation Anywhere bot. The Use case primarily describes how a bot can be moved from Dev Control room to QA and then to Production Control room, without any manual intervention.
Below is the high level workflow.
List of API’s used both from Automation Anywhere and Azure Devops. Below are the API’s which were used to automate the bots from one Control room to another one.
Please look into below low level architecture as well. It highlights how the bots are developed in Dev Control room, later get stored in Azure Feeds and later being deployed to QA Control room. Also we have hooked up extra release control for Prod deployment just to ensure that only required stakeholder can trigger the deployment in production control room. The API’s used are highlighted in above slide.
